Welcome

Welcome Message from the Headteacher

Hello and welcome to Martenscroft Nursery School and Children’s Centres

As Headteacher, it gives me great pleasure on behalf of all the staff, children, parents and governors, to warmly welcome you to our wonderful school.

Our school serves the community of Hulme by providing Outstanding full-time nursery provision to 3 and 4 year olds, and early educaction for children aged 5 months+. We pride ourselves on our high quality provision and excellent outdoor areas. We’ve gone to great lengths to create an inspiring environment that ensures the best possible start for your children, and feels like a home-from-home place for our families and team. Our team of Early Years experts nurture, care for all children and provide them with the best possible start to their education. We personalise our curriculum to ensure it reflects the children’s interest and next steps, to make sure that all children make excellent progress.

We believe nurseries are more important than ever before. As well as being crucial years for your child’s development and preparation for life in the modern world, it’s also the place for families to come together. We aim for the children in our school to be happy, safe, enjoy learning and achieve their full potential. We are an integrated provider, where all stakeholders see themselves as part of an effective learning community working hard to achieve excellence.

The school is located within easy reach of the city centre, and provides extended-day care, to suit the needs of working parents. We welcome parents to visit by contacting the office to arrange a convenient time to have a tour of our school.

The neighbourhood children's centres are based in Martenscroft Nursery School, Moss Side and Rushholme. Our team of experienced staff work across the centres to support families and deliver a wide range of activities to the community. To find out more about the range of work provided by our excellent centres, please click on the Children's Centres tab.

This website aims to give you a taster of the school, as well as providing regular updated information for families and the community.

We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website, and that you find any information you are looking for. Please contact the school direct with any further queries you may have.
